Castleman’s Disease and Me – Congress mood film

The challenge was to create an engaging opening mood film for a Multicentric Castleman’s Disease (iMCD) masterclass, using only existing footage and assets. As an ultra-rare disease with symptoms that often mirror those of more common conditions, iMCD can be difficult to recognise, leading many patients to endure a long and complex journey before receiving an accurate diagnosis.

The film was designed to set the tone for the event by placing the patient experience at its heart. Through careful editing, storytelling, and pacing, we repurposed existing content to create a compelling narrative that highlighted the challenges of diagnosis while emphasising the importance of collaboration between specialists. By bringing a real patient story to life, the film aimed to educate, inspire, and encourage healthcare professionals to recognise the signs of iMCD earlier, ultimately helping to improve outcomes for future patients.
